Fillings

Our office utilizes a tooth-colored filling material, or composite resin.  This type of material bonds directly to the tooth structure, which allows our doctors to be extremely conservative when removing the cavity in the tooth. Composite is a very strong and durable material, and polishes beautifully. The process is simple: The cavity is removed, the tooth is cleaned, bonding is placed and the filling material is placed. A high intensity light is used to harden the composite and then adjusted and polished to ensure a correct bite. These types of fillings can also be used to bond on teeth that have been chipped or have any irregularities.
